ABOUT THE BOOK
ABOUT SAFAR
As a ten-year-old Sikh boy, the author and his family experienced the violence and trauma of migration to India after the British drew a line demarcating India and Pakistan. Dr. Chattha examines the historical and political factors leading up to Partition, examining leadership and cultural forces. He shares the migration stories of himself and three other children in the only published first-person account of this event told from a Sikh child's perspective.

BOOK SIGNING
Since this book was unique to the Sikh community, Amrik wanted to do a proper launch of the book as a good way to also sell copies and connect with the Punjabi & Indian community. The event featured live tabla, the release of the music video shot to expand on the book and a Q&A session with the author at SF’s own The Battery. The event was huge success, as the packed house stayed late to get books signed and chat with Amrik one on one.
