SAFAR | COVER DESIGN

SAFAR | A Child’s Walk To Freedom During the Partition of India

PROJECT | Illustration – Graphic Design – Web Design

This year we took on our first book cover design for world class neuroscientist Amrik Singh Chattha. A gripping autobiography of his adventure as a child surviving the deadly partition of India, leaving his home on foot with his family after India was separated in two by England.

The project fell to us after the author and his book company tried to find an illustrator in India to capture the vision in the authors head and was not connecting with any images they were getting back. With our long history of design for Indian based events and working within the outlined objective we were able to supply a few close images before flushing out the final look. Working with the agent and the publishing house we were able to brand the title and complete a full book look that stayed consistent with the authors vision.

WEBSITE DESIGN

After the book was complete, the author and agency wanted a simple one page website to push for sales while giving the author a place to send friends and fellow peers to see his work of art.

FEATURES
– Responsive One Page Design
– Lead/Sales based design
– Photo Gallery

The Book launch party at Battery SF was a huge success, and as Amrik tours US cities with book launches he is raising money for low income schools in India with all the proceeds.
